Jewellery from textile structures

The first pieces with lace and tissue are part of the series Mourning jewellery , a very intensive reflection on the subject of death. Caressing of the hand with soft tissue pillows was supposed to give consolation and lighten the loss.

Three years ago, I took up the idea again when designing the collection fragments. Very light and highly subtle pieces in silver and gold were created. Lace is being fragmented, run through a special cast process and the precious metal fragments resulting from this process are reassembled to new forms.

The newest work left the previous flat structures and emphasizes volume and lightness due to the three dimensional design.
